This position holder has the responsibility for overseeing, manage and develop operations activities in SPR R&D Center, OH to support the safe and efficiency execution of both ANDRITZ internal and external customer pilot trial work.Additional resposibilities include, but are not limited to, facility management, reporting (internal and external), and personnel development

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for compliance with OSHA/PADER, and other government regulations pertaining to the workplace (QHSE)
  • Manages equipment assets and personnel consistent with established policies and objectives in operations
  • Seek to improve all aspects of the SPR R&D Center operations areas by reviewing current methodology and processes to achieve in quality and cost, thereby improving the competitive position of the company
  • Maintain a cooperative and professional relationship with the teams while promoting divisional and local initiatives and values
  • Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage per project
  • Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the operational perspective.
  • Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
  • Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed
  • Top-level understanding of all aspects of the operational processes
  • Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
  • Machinery/engineering skills
  • Technology skills (ANDRITZ IT Tools)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Engineeing or Operations(Master degree preferred)
