PRIMARY POSITION FUNCTION/SUMMARY:

Execute required operations to support Experiential Learning in the Gies College of Business. Implement and manage daily, weekly, monthly tasks mapped in the operations playbook to support Action Learning courses. Provide operational support for faculty, staff, teaching assistants, students, and customer support to clients to help facilitate successful project-based learning. Responsible for implementing program priorities, setting goals, and objectives for subordinates in the ongoing process of action learning.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Action Learning Courses: Facilitating successful project-based learning online or in a residential setting requires coordination of the client, the faculty, the student, and the teaching assistant. This position handles all the "moving parts" so that the faculty can do what they do best; teach and facilitate learning and deliver a fantastic student experience. This support involves:

  • Managing coordination with the project clients. Ensure a smooth client experience throughout the project and solving client issues as they arise
  • Facilitating surveys (team formation, peer evaluation, client reviews, etc.) and sharing reports with the faculty, for grading and to mentor their students; MS Forms
  • Managing the technology platforms used to manage and oversee the projects; MS Teams, or other project management tools
  • Assist in management of Magelli student interns
Data Management: With thousands of students and hundreds of clients participating each year, we are developing a rich data set that can be used in multiple ways: enhanced corporate and alumni engagement; ongoing course reviews and improvement; student outcomes measurement for College brand-building and student recruiting; and faculty research. This position responsible for the management and updating of data, as well as identifying insights from and sharing this data with stakeholders.
  • This role will assist in the management, tracking, and analysis of data from Salesforce, MS Teams, MS Forms, and other project management tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Sciences, or related field

Experience:

Required: One year of experience for each of the following, which can be simultaneous: A) Leadership or a management position, which must have included management of staff or external client relationships; programs or products. B) Data management, including data analysis, creation of reports, etc.

Preferred: Experience working in a University academic setting, supporting faculty and students. Experience working with and managing corporate and nonprofit clients. Experience scoping consulting-types of projects. Experience optimizing business operations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work independently and as a team, clear communication, timeliness, ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment, ability to execute tasks in a timely manner. Strong professional writing and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service. Ability to enter information/ data into a system. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Teams, Zoom, Outlook. Ability to provide quality data reporting.

SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a full-time Civil Service Program Coordinator position appointed on a 12-month service basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
