The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-eligible Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor) to join a team of experienced Gastroenterology physicians at the University Medical Center. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care and scholarly activity. The incumbent will be expected to manage patients in clinic, perform routine endoscopic procedures, attend on the inpatient GI service, participate in ongoing clinical research, and assist with teaching of fellows and residents. Rank is dependent upon qualifications.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the appointment start date.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
