The University of Virginia (UVA) invites applications for an Open Rank Faculty position in the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine. Candidates must have training and experience in diagnostic Hematopathology. The successful candidate will provide clinical service in Hematopathology to the UVA Health System and participate in the educational efforts of the UVA School of Medicine. Applicants with diagnostic expertise and interest in additional areas of pathology are encouraged to apply. Applicants interested in either a tenure-eligible or non-tenure track position will be considered. Rank and tenure status are dependent on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.

Candidates must have an M.D. or a D.O. and be board-certified in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology, Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology. Qualified candidates must have completed fellowship training in Hematopathology and be board certified or eligible to take boards. To be considered for the tenure-eligible position, candidates must have a track record of academic achievement in clinical service, research and/or education.
