Description:
Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team on the Saint Clare Van!

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, No weekends or holidays!

Assists the Chairman of The Department of Family Medicine or the designated attending Physician with overall daily operations of Family Practice. Performs physical examinations and assessments on adults and adolescents over the age of 13. Administers quality medical care within the scope of practice. Demonstrates keen clinical diagnostic judgment and understanding of the concepts of disease prevention and health promotion issues within the practice while administering quality patient care. Coverage to be provided, as
necessary, throughout the Family Medicine Department including but not limited to: Center of Hope, St. Clare Van, Delaware Family Physicians, Sacred Heart, and Family Practice Center.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Completes history and physical exam on all patients and Facilitates communication between patient, family, and physician
  • Orders appropriate diagnostic tests and medications based on the patient's history, physical exam.
  • Establishes treatment plan Documents management ofthe patient by including physical assessment, diagnostic tests results, evaluation of progress, and plan of care.
  • Participates in developing a multidisciplinary plan to provide continuity of care Orders appropriate diagnostic tests and medications based on the patient's history, physical exam.

  • Participates in Education of family Practice Residents and medical Students when appropriate Serves on Appropriate Hospital Committees when called upon

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware required.
  • Board Certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner in the State of Delaware required,
  • Maintains prescriptive authority in the state of Delaware.
  • Maintains federal DEA number.
  • Maintains BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
