Job Description

CUMULUS MEDIA | Nashville, TN is looking for a News Anchor/Reporter to provide primarily local newscasts for middle Tennessee on SuperTalk 99.7 WWTN. Duties include harvesting stories from numerous sources and generating original content. Applicants must have STRONG news reading, newswriting & audio editing skills in addition to experience filing stories for social media and digital sites. You must submit an aircheck and newswriting samples to be considered for this position.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years' experience producing and anchoring newscasts is required, as is demonstrable experience anchoring long-form coverage
• Strong production skills and knowledge of Adobe Audition and/or Audacity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking
• Ability to take direction is a MUST
• Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations
• Pleasant, charismatic, and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation
• Excellent verbal and written communication and editing skills; proficient in grammar
• Can work well in a team environment; collaborative
