Analysts is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Administrator opportunity with a great client of ours. This is a 12-month contract role with potential for extension. 100% onsite in Buffalo, NY - must be full vaccinated to be considered. Great company, great work environment!

The Network Administrator will provide support to existing networking engineers within a campus environment. Will administrate both Cisco and Arista Based Hardware. Will need to be able to be honest and have a working understanding of fiber optics and IDF and MDF closets.

Core Functions include:

• Understanding of, and experience with, layer 1 and 2, layer 3 preferred
• Experience working with campus, and datacenter environments
• Ability to rack and cable switches, work with and apply both Cisco and Arista configurations
• Understands the advance concepts as it relates to access layer to distribution layer switch connectivity. Port Channels, LACP, etc.
• Experience in switching and routing hardware platforms for campus environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work with onsite and with remote team members, and vendors
• Able to work well independently and with a team
• Experience working in a project environment
• After hours (evenings) work required a few days a week
• Maintain client network hardware standards and best practices.
• Perform well-organized and timely deployments of access layer switches
• Work as the escalation point between different support teams for issues related to network connectivity
• Diagnose and investigate unique and complex systemic problems.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years relevant Experience
• Excellent Customer service skills
• Knowledge in Cisco IOS and Arista OS switching platforms
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify, research, and resolve simple to complex technical support issues independently.
