Gibbs & Cox, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Model Based Systems Engineer. As member of an interdisciplinary team, you will apply a Model Based Systems Engineering methodology to support the Canadian Surface Combatant program. Must be willing to travel up to 25% to Halifax Nova Scotia.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Identify and evaluate a complex network of shipbuilding artifacts
  • Facilitate discussion with stakeholders about key performance parameters and design decisions.
  • Create requirements, structural behavioral and logical models using CAMEO Systems Modeler
  • Coordinate the development of technical reports and white papers
  • Conduct Trade Analyses for making engineering decisions
  • Manage risks
Basic Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent education in Systems Engineering.
  • 3 (+) Years of Systems Engineering Experience, one of which must be directly related to Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience creating models in CAMEO System Modeler.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An Active Secret Clearance is Required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with US Navy ship designs.
  • Experience working in large team environments & interfacing with highly technical points of contact for component systems / subsystems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project unknowns/ambiguity
Security Requirements: MUST be a US Citizen in order to obtain a United States DOD Security Clearance
