Gibbs & Cox, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Model Based Systems Engineer. As member of an interdisciplinary team, you will apply a Model Based Systems Engineering methodology to support the Canadian Surface Combatant program. Must be willing to travel up to 25% to Halifax Nova Scotia.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Identify and evaluate a complex network of shipbuilding artifacts
- Facilitate discussion with stakeholders about key performance parameters and design decisions.
- Create requirements, structural behavioral and logical models using CAMEO Systems Modeler
- Coordinate the development of technical reports and white papers
- Conduct Trade Analyses for making engineering decisions
- Manage risks
- BS Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent education in Systems Engineering.
- 3 (+) Years of Systems Engineering Experience, one of which must be directly related to Model-Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience creating models in CAMEO System Modeler.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- An Active Secret Clearance is Required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with US Navy ship designs.
- Experience working in large team environments & interfacing with highly technical points of contact for component systems / subsystems
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project unknowns/ambiguity
