General Statement of Duties:
The Legal Intern will support the office administrator and legal support team with various tasks related to litigation dockets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the office manager and legal secretaries
- Review court dockets and enter the results into the required spreadsheets / charts
- Download PDFs and import into system databases
- Work in a variety of systems to identify and document updates to pending cases
- Complete charts by the required deadline
- Follow up on discrepancies with pending cases
- Provide back-up as needed to fellow members of the team
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or currently in process of obtaining Undergraduate Degree
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as a team
- Deadline driven
- Ability to handle multiple technology platforms simultaneously
Additional Information:Supervisory Responsibility - This position does not have any direct reports.
Work Environment - This position operates in a professional environment.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours - Candidate will be expected to work 2 days a week on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Travel- No travel is expected for this position.
Salary Range - Up to $20/hour (depending on experience)
