The Media Director creates consumer-based media strategy, grounded in data and insights, to provide effective communications plans for our brands and portfolio. This role will be focused on ensuring our media investment is optimized to create maximum ROI building both long-term brand equity and near-term brand sales. The Media Director leads the relationship with our external media agencies, while leading a team of two internal media managers, and providing thought leadership in the evolving media landscape to the Ferrara organization. The Media Director also partners with internal brand marketing teams, consumer insights & marketing effectiveness, earned and owned media teams, shopper marketing, e-Commerce marketing and external creative agencies providing strategic leadership to develop omni-channel media plans.

Ways you will make a difference

• Lead a US media operation (internal and agency) to ensure development of best in class media strategies and effective deployment of media investments to maximize ROI
• Direct a data driven media approach with relentless focus on finding and adopting new ways to use data in audience insights, activation and measurement that lead to better integrated customer journeys, stronger media plans and more relevant content creation
• Collaborate with and influence internal partners in order to drive effective media strategy
• Lead media agency in executing our strategies, push the boundaries and take managed risks
• Drive strategic alignment across media strategies and campaigns with internal stakeholders and ensure additional marketing support is allocated where it will be most effective
• Negotiate and execute media partnership deals with key media properties that deliver added-value for our brands
• Partner and drive internal operations and procurement teams to productively manage the scope, fees and relationship with our media agency to deliver accountable results
• Evolve paid media capability as needed, to keep up with the relevant landscape

Experiences that will support your success

• Bachelor's degree required
• >10 years of paid media experience including at least 5 years of experience leading paid media for consumer facing brands (internally or externally)
• Experience measuring and evaluating the ROI of national and targeted paid media campaigns across channels
• Deep experience across all paid media channels - both traditional and emerging - particularly digital, programmatic, social, search, and content marketing
• Experience setting up successful partnerships with media agencies delivering against expected strategic outcomes
• Experience working within a dynamic cross-functional team environment, navigating objectives to drive priority and deliver breakthrough results
• Experience presenting to executive management teams and influencing internal partners in a global matrixed organization
