The Michelin Junction City site is growing and is seeking another permanent Mechanical Engineer to assist in this exciting time at the facility!

Job Description

• Support the manufacturing processes and equipment by designing, specifying, purchasing and constructing mechanical systems and components.
• Participate in all facets of project management including: Economic justification, design, vendors/procurement, installation, start-up, qualification, machine acceptance, training for operations & maintenance, project evaluations and user documentation.
• Become a liaison between facility engineering, central quality, purchasing teams and equipment suppliers to assure good mutual system requirement understanding.
• Have hands-on involvement with equipment and processes by being available to the machine operators and maintenance personnel and gaining detailed knowledge of the process.
• Management of contractors on installations

Requirements

• BS in ME or equivalent.
• Project management skills is helpful
• Prefer manufacturing plant engineering experience.
• Experience with Auto Cad Mechanical and/or SolidWorks 3D modeling software (latest versions)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
