Under the direction of the Director of Continuous Improvement, the Lean Master Black Belt will be responsible for the development and execution of service and operational excellence CI initiatives to energize the assets using Lean Sigma tools to positively impact customer satisfaction, quality and performance. The Lean Master Black Belt will provide the necessary support to keep CI projects active and on task, as well as assist in the identification and removal of barriers preventing successful project completion.

You Will Have the Opportunity to:

  • Implement strategic, complex process improvement projects in conjunction with goals and imperatives for increasing revenue, optimizing cycle time, reducing defect rates, and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute on the CI Transformation Process including developing training materials and delivering training.
  • Create project implementation timelines including resources and charts that drive manufacturing process improvements decreasing 'total' manufacturing costs.
  • Act as a cross-cultural change agent to drive and sustain measurable business process improvements internal. Act as a technical leader in the implementation of Operational Excellence Lean best practices.
  • Identify and remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process yield, cycle time, defect reduction, inventory reduction and/or elimination of process waste.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline. Graduate degree (MBA) a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success applying LEAN industry experience in a Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Black Belt certification, Master Black Belt preferred. MBB certification level required within 2 years in the role.
  • A demonstrated career history of using Lean Sigma principles such as SIPOC, DOE, MSE, NEM, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, 5S, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma and Communication Tools.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
