Job Summary:

Responsible for the development, technical support, project management and sustaining activities related to the ZOLL Medical Manufacturing Execution System (MES). May manage other operations/IT projects and tools as appropriate. May supervise direct or indirect staff to accomplish tasks

Essential Functions:

  • 15%Validation activity
  • 10% Generates reports to support improving manufacturing techniques, quality, yields and improving managerial access to production floor yield information. Design, debug, admin and performance tuning of the Business Objects reporting system including extract tables for report performance
  • l 0% Develops and maintains work flow routings, establishes operating equipment specifications and modifies existing process flows when engineering change orders are issued
  • 10% Database development and admin of the SQL Databases serving the MES or similar application. Server configuration, performance analysis/tuning and problem resolution using database performance and analysis tools. Development of stored procedures, Extract-Transform Load (ETL) packages and user-defined functions
  • 10% Software Development of discrete, complementary applications to MES and other databases. Software design of VB.net applications to support the applications as required by Operations. Perform systems analysis, software design, validation, implementation, training and support consistent with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
  • 10% Project Management. IT and Systems project management related to MES, Business Objects or other systems upgrades including verification and validation
  • 10% Manage Ops IT staff
  • 5% Windows Server administration and monitoring of the servers. Analysis and problem resolution related to the underlying servers supporting the database and repo1iing applications
  • 5% Technical consultant for other proposed operations
  • 5% Liaison with IT, R&D and other members of the Manufacturing Engineering Group to ensure the process and designs are compatible with the operations database systems
  • 5% 3rd Tier Desktop Support of Production computers
  • 5% Other duties as required

Skill Requirements:
  • 6 or more years' experience in data base management, report writing and Microsoft Technologies with emphasis on VB.net/SQL/ Access
  • Experience with Business Objects a plus
  • Project management experience demonstrating the ability to meet schedule and cost targets
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, product structure, BOMs, MRP systems, IS09000, 13485, 14971, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Familiarity with FDA QSR documentation requirements a plus

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science
