Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. We place a strategic emphasis on complex coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular access, bone access, specialty biologic treatments and cardiac assist. Position Summary

Lead the Manufacturing Engineering Team at the Chelmsford facility to identify and drive process improvements to insure stable, capable, and efficient processes throughout the manufacturing supply chain in support of the sterile disposable and instrumentation manufacturing processes.

Principal Responsibilities

• Mentor, manage and grow a team of engineers
• Prioritize and schedule projects, provide technical and organizational assistance, ensuring timeliness.
• Identify and drive site-level process improvement plan focusing on service, quality, safety and cost.
• Effectively manage the Preventative Maintenance System.
• Provide technical resources and support in resolving equipment, product materials and process-related production problems as necessary to ensure uninterrupted product flow. Understand and address capacity bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with R&D in support of product development transfer to manufacturing. Ensure the appropriate manufacturing plans are defined, including risk analysis and validation strategies-IQ, OQ, PQ.
• Systematically reduce quality defects through identification of issues and application of root cause corrective action
• Support the complaint process by understanding manufacturing process-related failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive a Lean Manufacturing culture to eliminate waste and deliver business results.
• Support plant cost improvement efforts.
• Insure an effective priority system is established to best leverage resources and maximize plant results consistent with corporate goals.
• Set and maintain the department budget, manage resources required to meet production needs and capital budgets.
• Identifies and implements capital equipment requirements.
• Leads and develops process qualification programs for all plant processes and equipment. Provides oversight to the team to write and approve protocols and reports, analyze test results, and recommend actions.
• Responsible for assessment and qualification of new suppliers and changes to existing supplier materials or processes.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 10 years of related experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, quality management or process development.
• Prior management experience
• Prior medical device industry experience highly desirable
