ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
1. Drive continuous improvement of grinding processes.
2. Participate in manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering continuous improvement teams.
3. Provide technical project management support both individually and within team assignments.
4. Promote and provide for a safe working environment through all aspects of the facility.
Education:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Strong interpersonal skills with operators, skilled trades, peers, and management.
2. Hands on self-motivated engineer required.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to work successfully in a team based environment.
5. Experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite of products. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
6. Strong focus on creating and maintaining a safe work environment for everyone.
Technical:
1. Demonstrated ability to deliver productivity improvement projects in a high-volume grinding environment.
2. Industrial experience / knowledge in some the following area is desirable:
a. CNC machining including tooling specification and G-Code programing.
b. Induction heat treating processes.
c. Manufacturing automation. (Robotics, PLCs, Pick & Place Mechanisms)
d. Machine / process trouble shooting ability.
