We are currently hiring for a Manual Machinist - 2nd shift

Hours are 2:30PM - 1AM (Monday - Friday)

*Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays and overtime as required.

The purpose of this position is to manufacturer and repair precision parts and components. Operate a variety of machine tools and equipment to accurately machine final products used in the underground and surface mining industries, as well as industrial markets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspecting parts for defects, flaws, deformities and making necessary repairs/adjustments to OEM specs
• Produce quality parts and components that require precise dimensions and tolerances
• Utilize manual lathes, mills, boring mills and drills
• Use precision measuring devices to ensure proper conformance to quality specifications
• Interpret blueprints or engineering drawings and adjusting machine requirements to obtain OEM specs
• Maintain tools/tooling and cleanliness of assigned work area
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

• 1-2+ years of operating manual lathes

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of operation of machines and how they work
• Ability to interpret prints and drawings
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Knowledge of material used to produce parts and components
• High School Diploma or GED is required, comparable trade school or apprenticeship a plus
