  • Works with staff, senior management, and other departments to plan, build, and launch high quality product experiences.
  • Utilizes internal data, market research, and other marketplace intelligence to ensure alignment of relevant plans and tactics.
  • Manages the product development process from conception through design, build, release, testing, analysis, and iteration.
  • Owns the development and delivery of multi-year strategic plans for assigned products and defines product roll-out strategy.
  • Sets objectives, goals, and performance metrics to measure effectiveness and progress against goals.
  • Analyzes data to optimize performance and focus on the product areas with the highest potential.
  • Designs business process changes necessary to simplify and optimize operations end to end.
  • Recruits, trains, and develops staff talents to improve department operations and efficiency.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing:

N/A

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.

Department Specific Functions

  • Manages inventory levels in various areas.
  • Ensuring expiration dates are checked and rotating of supplies.
  • Manages the removal of expired supplies for disposal.
  • Establishes/Manages par levels and changes to the PAR Forms and QSight.
  • Rounds on a daily basis to ensure all supply locations are organized and have adequate stock of supplies.
  • Able to Train and Allocate staff to the various areas for coverage.
  • Create efficiencies in ordering process and remove waste where possible.
  • Outline effective process for timely Bill Only submission.
  • Design process for reviewing back and open orders.
  • Checks expiration dates on supplies in inventory and rotates supplies.
  • Assists in the unloading and unpacking of inventory items as they are received.
  • Notifies to appropriate managing staff of any issues, such as overstocking and discrepancies.
  • Fills tickets and requisitions, and delivers supplies to appropriate location in a timely manner.
  • Assures that supplies are charged appropriately on the day of delivery.
  • Prints and places appropriate labels on inventory packages.
  • Ensures that receiving and order paperwork is accurate and preserved appropriately.
