Job Summary

  • Provides appropriate coordination and oversight in conjunction with the Program Director for the overall day to day operation of the Residency Programs in the
    Department (Anesthesiology).
  • Coordinates various meetings and activities for the residency.
  • Manages the financial matters, advances, reimbursements, invoices, etc., related to education and recruitment for the residents, faculty, staff, and the
    residency program.
  • Responsible to develop and maintain a system for collecting resident, program, and residents' patient data required for appropriate outcome measures and to
    meet Residency Review Committee guidelines to monitor and assure collection of data.
  • Monitors resident competencies and outcomes assessment on New Innovations, coordinates clinical evaluation exercises, and oversees resident procedures tracking.
  • Serves as program liaison to various areas in and outside the institution.
  • Maintains ongoing documentation for internal reviews and the ACGME, Residency Review Committee accreditation site reviews. Prepares documents and
    participates in the site reviews.
  • Supports the development of resident scholarly activity.
  • Coordinates the recruitment of U.S. medical students and international graduates to the residency program. Supports the program directors and coordinates
    with the applicant review and evaluation, monitors throughout the application process.
  • Coordinates orientation for incoming and advancing residents. Assists advancing and graduating residents through the promotion process.
  • Provides appropriate coordination and oversight of the Internal Medicine and Transitional Year Residency Programs in the Department, consisting of 43
    residents.
  • Assures that Institutional Requirements are met and that the program is managed through appropriate utilization of resources to maintain the program's accreditation.

Education Requirements
  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
