Location address is 20515 SH 249 (TX 249 and Louetta Road), Houston, TX 77070.Job Description POSITION SUMMARY:Manages and coordinates the activities of the University Park GradUP program. This program may include varied and constantly evolving projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are well defined and accomplished within specified time frames. These projects are generally focused on increasing student success and more specifically addressing graduation rates. This is a temporary position. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Manage projects to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectivesAnalyze project goals, plans schedule of deadlines for project completion and develops action plan and processes for project completion from inception to evaluationIs a team player, work within a paradigm of willingness to take responsibility for an overall project even when project success requires contribution from other stakeholdersCoordinate efforts between various stakeholders; coordinates project activities; assigns tasks and provides guidance to those responsible for specific functions or phases of projectsDevelop, recommend and implement necessary improvements and changes to projects in order to ensure project successTrain others on process improvement methods and completed project deliverablesConfer with staff to explain project and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of projectsCoordinate meetings, communications and other operationsTake direction and respond to constructive criticism and actively contribute to process improvement effortsResponsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to allocate accountability and task responsibility and follow throughAbility to Identify resource and competency needs, set and communicate individual/team responsibilitiesAbility to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesAbility to define project requirements, scoping of project, planning activities, risk and issue management, measure project progress, determine corrective actions to ensure successful project implementationStrong communication and organizational skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The work is sedentary. WORK ENVIRONMENT:Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipmentInterface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the positionWork is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:3 years of related work experience Salary

Hiring salary range is $52,430 - $60,295.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
