$94,000

Geographical Difference:

For Onsite and Hybrid employees this position may be eligible for 7.5% geographical differential raising the band to minimum $80,840; target max $101,050.

Purpose

We are seeking an experienced HR Compliance professional to join our growing global HR headquarters team. In this position, you will drive HR process improvement and HR compliance efforts, ensuring coordination with local, state, federal and in some cases international legal obligations while partnering with program compliance and our global HR team to maintain compliant procedures.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with CWS Internal Audit, develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures for the HR Global Team in accordance with best practices.
  • Serve as the main HR contact for program compliance; work with the program compliance unit to monitor, evaluate, and track individual program requirements as they relate to human resources.
  • Collaborate with Program Leadership to ensure we are compliant with donor and program requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, legal resources, and the HR global team to facilitate the timely integration of employment compliance requirements into their processes.
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for process improvements within the HR team for quality assurance; design and implement processes to correct non-compliance situations and perform on-going monitoring.
  • Coordinate with the Benefits Administrator and the Operations department to ensure that all CWS office locations (including affiliates, fiscal agents, temporary offices) have the accurate and current labor law posters and relevant policies are posted in an accessible location for all CWS employees.
  • Perform scheduled audits of HR files, records and employee data collection to ensure all required documents are collected, completed, and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with all internal and external audits; maintain a master tracking list for all program mandatory requirements; ensure that all audit related reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of HR compliance standard operating procedures.
  • Create ad-hoc reports in UKG business intelligence (Cognos report writer) to pull metric data.
  • Assess a Partner's capacity to implement a CWS-supported program and identify any areas that need enhancement or support to ensure the success of the partnership between the Partner and CWS.
  • Provide back-up and additional assistance for other compliance tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements
  • 5-7 years of HR compliance or HR operational experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related area; Experience in lieu of degree will be equally weighted.
  • Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially human resources principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience and fluency with Human Resource Information Systems
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PHR, SPHR, GPHR certification or advanced degree in HR. Masters Degree preferred
  • International HR/Operations compliance experience
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to influence the direction of key initiatives and work with others to guarantee deliverables
  • Experience with US refugee resettlement, refugee protection and assistance, humanitarian relief, or development programs preferred.
  • Experience managing compliance for US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families policies strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing compliance of child protective background checks highly preferred.
