Responsible for the digital software engineering of Inspire's consumer facing solutions, products, and programs, which includes company owned web and mobile channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Mentor, guide, coach, coordinate training opportunities and support individual growth of direct reports
Manage a team of developers directly and provide technical guidance to individuals and other peers
Ensure that technical solutions are in line with company standards in respect to architecture, security, compliance, testing and product direction
Member of development team that leads technical execution and delivery of new initiatives as well as providing operational support for solutions in production
Leverage industry best practices and tools to continually improve teams' ability to deliver and maintain solutions
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
4 year degree in Computer Science or related
3 - 5 years of experience building and supporting large scale and highly available technology solutions
5 - 7 years of experience in Micro services using, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, and Message broker architecture. Understanding of cloud native devops architectures (Azure preferred), containerized app deployments (Docker, AKS)
2 - 4 years of experience directly managing or leading a team(s) of software
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
Able to manage development team to deliverables: on time, scope and budget
Experience working with agency partners
Excellent presentation and soft skills, able to present complex technical concepts to business partners and senior management
Experience leading teams with deep technical experience with enterprise development (e.g., Java) and frameworks/technology
Deep understanding creating and developing REST based web services
Deep understanding and implementation of Test Driven Development (TDD)
Proficiency with source control and release technologies (e.g., Git and Azure DevOps) and practices (e.g., CI/CD and automation) Good soft skills, able to demonstrate solutions to business partners
Cross Functional internal team exposure - has worked previously with Product, Design, QA and Delivery leads.
Experience with supporting multiple versions and releases of software
Experience working with multi-functional, globally distributed teams to coordinate work and deliver solutions that span multiple teams
Experience with cloud native devops architectures (Azure preferred) and knowledge of containerized app deployments (Docker, AKS)
Experience working with NoSQL (Cosmos, Mongo) and Relational DBs (MySQL), Message queues
Can help onboard and provide support to developers as they learn in their career
Experience leading Agile/Scrum development teams
