Position Overview

As an Anomaly Detection Manager in Ontology & Taxonomy Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the certification of market data. This role will focus on several key aspects of the business, including but not limited to ensuring data accuracy, identifying data anomalies, investigating drivers of market trend changes, and resolving and communicating data issues or inquiries. You will stay aligned with industry trends and will act as the key liaison communicating with stakeholders across the organization. Data integrity is of paramount importance and your work is critical to ensuring quality assured monthly data is provided to our clients against strict deadlines. You are responsible for data sign off prior to client delivery.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Help to define the standards of data quality and ensure monthly data certification.
  • Will be the industry go to on the Anomaly Detection team.
  • Trend validation and troubleshooting at multiple levels of our retailer and category hierarchy for your assigned industry
  • Lead investigations and resolve data discrepancies as necessary, communicating to key stakeholders as needed.
  • Work through trend issues and conducting deep dive investigations to identify data issues.
  • Manage a pipeline of client queries received through our Operations Client Services team as well as other external parties.
  • Mobilise your technical skills and that of our colleagues to expand knowledge, generate improvements and ensure maximum benefit to the team and department.
  • Provide ongoing reporting that identifies changes in trends, provides impact analysis and identifies data anomalies.
  • Drive process improvement everyday by identifying and implementing changes that will advance quality and/or efficiency.
  • Work closely with Senior Leaders on large scale industry data improvements which are outside of the day-to-day activities.
  • Proactively engage with those in and out of the Anomaly Detection team on challenges and work to make improvements to process/timing.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • 4+ years or more in similar role
  • Experience in analytics, data management or data manipulation
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced skills in this regard are advantageous.
  • Must be comfortable with working against tight deadlines and unexpected challenges
  • Naturally rigorous and organised, you possess solid problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Enthusiastic and open to learn technical processes. You have a collaborative approach to working and strong communication skills
  • Self-directed; strong ability to work independently, to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ideally experience in an environment working and collaborating across time zones
  • Can anticipate issues and takes appropriate action immediately. A critical thinker who makes considered decisions and involves the right people
  • Strong communication skills are a must, to comprehend and articulate issues.
  • Ambitious to perform well and to assist others when possible and to improve team and company performance
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks. Understands that the workday is done only when deliverables have been met
  • Enjoys identifying anomalies in data and leading the journey to resolution
