The Composites Business Unit of Hendrickson is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Dayton, OH.

This individual will be assisting in production and maintain all equipment and facility and be available to work on any shift 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. This individual will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Maintains and repairs all buildings, machinery, and equipment. Maintains all tooling and fixturing required to support manufacturing operations.
  • Performs preventative maintenance programs on all work centers and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots all equipment problems. Identifies areas of improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Assisting manufacturing engineering in the pilot of the new equipment including installation of Capital Equipment, capability studies, and debugging / making necessary adjustments as directed.
  • Operating new equipment as required, making suggestions and improvements to systems.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to provide self transportation between locations
The individual should be capable of performing the following technical skills:
  • Electrical; Installation of machine service and machine diagnostics utilizing prints, multimeter, and PLC logic.
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics; Capable of troubleshooting and replacing failed components.
  • Metal machining and fabrication; Ability to drill, tap, cut and weld (ARC/MIG).
  • Plumbing; Capable of replacing or installing pipe in systems consisting of threaded pipe, PVC, or copper.
The preferred background would consist of:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Vocational or trade school diploma preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good mechanical dexterity
