(Contingent upon available funding): 15.00 - 16.88, Hourly Work Schedule: Typically, 8 hours an evening, 5 days a week; occasional overtime as needed Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: The Maintenance Tech will perform all phases of general, aesthetic, and preventative maintenance within supervisor's guidelines. Expert knowledge in performing tasks is notexpected, however, over a period oftime, the Maintenance Tech should develop to the point that they cancomplete tasks independently. Responsible forassisting with projects mechanical and EMP related. Make repairs to general facilities toinclude, but not limited to, general carpentry repairs, perform minor paint and patch work, repairs toceiling and floor coverings, doors, windows, and furniture. Repair or replacevarious plumbing fixtures and hardware. Unclog sluggish or stopped drains. Safe lifting practices and procedures. Knowledgeof light fixtures and various types of bulbs and ballasts. Ability to assembleoffice furniture, hang large white boards, bulletin boards, etc., andexperience in the use of hand and power tools. Consciousness ofsafety procedures. Provide excellent customer service. Work overtime as needed. Assist all crafts as assigned by Supervisor. Expert knowledge in performing tasks is not expected.Environmental Hazards:
Hazardous material; exposure to heat/cold.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, climb, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge: Basic knowledge of general, aesthetic, and preventative maintenance. Ability to record and maintain accurate records. Handle several technical tasks at once and organize daily workload. Interact effectively with staff, faculty, and students. Provide high quality service in a university setting.
