Kemps, a DFA company, is seeking a Maintenance Systems Coordinator to join our team in Farmington, MN!

The Maintenance Systems Coordinator manages the purchasing of parts and supplies and the coordination of the work to be performed within the Maintenance Organization. The role will organize, prepare and implement planned and or emergency maintenance work activities for the department. The position will help generate and schedule maintenance work orders and tracks department/plant projects and will generate reports and analysis accordingly and as needed. The Maintenance Systems Coordinator will assist in all facets of the Maintenance Department as required and will help oversee purchasing of items/materials related to plant projects, coordinate with outside contractors if needed, as well as interacting with plant production department personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assure all departmental personnel are operating in compliance with plant and corporate procedures and policies
  • Assure that the department is operating in compliance with customer, company and governmental regulations
  • Oversee daily plant maintenance operations and projects and helps insure production schedules are met and plant efficiencies are maintained
  • Attend required and necessary meetings concerning production, safety, quality and operations
  • Interact with vendors, customers and external resources as needed
  • Attend seminars that will help to develop skills needed to improve job performance
  • Coordinate material requests, supplier and plant schedules and established project timelines
  • Source and provide training for skill set development of the maintenance workforce
  • Work with Maintenance Management to review, enhance and implement improvements within the work order/parts inventory systems

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Two year technical degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant work experience (previous supervisory experience preferred)

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-5 years of managerial experience in a plant manufacturing environment
Mechanical experience and knowledge working with high-speed, multi-line production, packaging and processing equipment
