Description: Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer - Predictive

  • Manage the plant Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program. Ensure that all required testing meets state and federal code requirements, as well as Eco Services' Best Practices. Ensure all key elements of corporate MI program are fully implemented.
  • Develop & apply Maintenance Strategies for critical equipment to prevent premature failure.
  • Coordinate and direct predictive maintenance activities such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic inspection, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Coordinate equipment performance testing on all critical rotating equipment to ensure asset reliability and sustained MDC production capacities. Confirm equipment has the capability of meeting original design conditions/performance curves, energy efficiencies, process capacities, etc. Eg. Steam turbines, Main Gas Blower, Tower Pumps, Boiler Feed Water Pumps, Air Compressors, Turbo generators, Cooling Tower Pumps, etc
  • Analyze maintenance data & equipment history to identify trends in equipment performance that adversely affect HSE, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, or costs.
  • Conduct analysis/investigations and lead Failure Mode Analysis & Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures that significantly affected HSE, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), or costs. Recommend improvement programs and practices to prevent similar failures. Author formal failure analysis reports for distribution to the equipment owner and the reliability network.
  • Evaluates and produces MI Alert Reports.
  • Provide technical assistance to Maintenance Planners and Supervisors on rotating equipment issues such as mechanical seals, turbine overhauls, bearing designs, etc. Perform QC to ensure repairs are performed correctly.
  • Assist in establishing equipment numbering of all equipment/instrumentation
  • Assist in the accurate development of equipment Bill of Materials.
  • Formulate detailed job plan instructions (Standard Procedures on PMs/PDMS)
  • Routinely review backlogs and/or MI compliance reports to ensure all critical PM/PDMs and MI inspections are scheduled/completed within established time limits. Help optimize PM/PDM frequency and duration.
  • Perform field audits to validate planning and scheduling effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors as required.
  • Manage small capital projects as needed.
  • Review and provide technical input to capital projects, including the maintenance related elements of Early Equipment Care
  • Have working knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing practices such as Phased Array, Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Radiographic (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Eddy Current (ECT), IRIS, Remote Field (RFT), etc.
  • Able to understand, apply, and enforce company engineering standards such as Piping ESGP 40-XX, Storage Tank ESGP 10-XX, Maintenance Equip Strategies/Best Practices ESGP 60-xx, Process Safety ESGP 80-XX etc.
  • Have working knowledge of industry design codes and standards such as ASME, API 653, API 611, ASME 31.X Power Boiler, AWS Weld Inspection, etc.
  • Have working knowledge of industry best practices for Predictive / Condition monitoring such as ANST Vibration, ICML Machine Lubrication, Infrared Analysis - Electrical/Mechanical, etc.
  • Have ability to interpret regulations.
  • Have ability to learn and use various computer apps and software. Proficient in SAP CMMS Maintenance Module and Procurement functions, OSI PI, Ultrapipe, RBI VisualAim, etc.
  • Have basic chemistry knowledge. Able to understand and apply Eco Services Regen 201, SUMO, etc.
  • Have ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
  • Have ability to make and deliver presentations.
  • Participate in the operations/maintenance on-call duty.
    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
