Maintenance Mechanic – Parts Room Clerk I

JOBSUMMARY:
Orders, receives, and enters maintenance parts into inventory system. Performs cycle counts, organizing and periodic inventory of
parts room. Removes obsolescence. Updates work orders per established processes. Dispatches and kits parts as needed.
Completes assigned work orders and task. Generates reports and updates system to reflect current inventory needs. Maintain good
housekeeping in parts storage areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operates MVP One program.
Maintains up to date library of machine manuals, prints and schematics.
Supports Maintenance Manager in parts sourcing efforts when additional help is needed or during new equipment installs.
Works closely with maintenance staff on continuously improving inventory levels by editing levels and
replenishment details approved by Manager.
Generates inventory reports for improved inventory management and PM productivity.
Supports Plant Maintenance Manager on special projects as needed.
Orders approved purchase request and other purchase orders as outlined by the management team.
Develops, implements, and maintains approved Standard Operating Procedures
Responsible for tracking maintenance spending within MVP One.
Aids in the training of maintenance teammates on the Inventory SOPs.
Performs other duties as assigned to include answering pages and performing maintenance and repair work
Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Two years industrial maintenance service at the facility or similar experience within industrial maintenance elsewhere for 3 years.
Proven proficiency in MVP One: accurate, detailed, and timely use of CMMS system.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lb. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lb.; frequently lift and/or move above
shoulder height; stand, frequently walk, kneel, and bend.
Must be able to work in a hot/cold, wet environment with some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Excellent attendance record
