We are on the hunt for a Maintenance and Reliability Leader to be based at our Chester, PA plant.

In this role, you will lead the site maintenance organization at their home site and assigned regional sites to achieve world class reliability and asset performance standards. You will provides direction, mentoring and support for plant managers and maintenance personnel within assigned region. This role also leads the line maintenance organization in execution of the R&M strategy and best practices to achieve the maintenance goals. The Maintenance and Reliability Leader Is a core member of the US Region R&M Team led by the Reliability and Maintenance Excellence Leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary)

  • Leads the site/ regional maintenance organization toward the objective of zero injuries and incidents. Ensures that the site is closely connected with the corporate maintenance and reliability networks and resources.
  • Line responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the site/ regional maintenance organization. Develops the site/ regional maintenance budget and manages to achieve the budget.
  • Implement site maintenance and reliability practices consistent with corporate standards, develop and implement improvement strategies and tactics to achieve the vision. The key maintenance and reliability practices to focus on are:
    • Work management process
    • Preventive and predictive maintenance
    • Reliability improvement
    • Materials management
    • Mechanic training and performance
    • Mechanical Integrity
    • Maintenance contracting strategy
    • Shutdown and turnaround management
    • Design for reliability
  • Manages plant capital budget including preparation of ARs in alignment with the capital engineering process.
  • Ensures that scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance downtime meets OEE objectives in support of product supply needs.
  • Assists / works with the Technology Leader in institutionalizing the Six Sigma methodology into the plant culture, including strategy and tactics.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance and reliability staffing, renewal, and succession plans. Determines organizational development and competencies requirements by conducting needs/ gap analysis. Ensures that development processes are in place and successful.
  • Leads a core/non-core analysis and development of a site maintenance contracting strategy. Works closely with the project manager and construction leaders to ensure maintenance contracting strategies are successful.

  • Mentoring of others includes providing R&M direction to regional sites through plant managers

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in engineering from four-year college or university; and 10 to 16 years of related reliability & maintenance experience and/or training.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents and business information and reports.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively prepare information for employees, top management.
  • Excellent Oral/Verbal communication skills in English.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of organizational development and change management techniques and processes.
  • Sensitive enough to both, business, and people issues, to be capable of taking decisions and make recommendations.
