Job Description:

This position is responsible for operating Glass Cutting machines make sure they are properly working and producing quality glass. Adheres quality standard and safety procedures. Coordinates with the Team Lead/Supervisors and material handlers for daily goals.

Responsibilities:

• Receives work orders and coordinates with the team the goals for the day.
• Operates tempering machines including programming and calibrating it to its specified temperature to meet the requirement needed to produce the glass.
• Responsible for basic and daily maintenance of the machines and troubleshooting.
• Sets tempering controls to regulate temperatures and heating time.
• Observes and monitors machine operation to detect malfunction and complete appropriate paperwork to report the problems to Supervisor/Team Lead.
• Coordinates and informs Supervisors and Maintenance Technician if there is problem on the machines and monitors the regular preventive maintenance done by Maintenance.
• Conducts test analysis if it's needed to make sure the quality of glass produce is within standard requirement.
• Records work completed and rejected through written and scanning procedures.
• Maintains the work area and machines clean and organize and follow safety regulations.
• Inspects glass for damages or defects and inform the Supervisor if there is any problem.
• Follows the company safety regulations.
• Will perform any other job or task as assigned.

Basic Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to read Tape measure and work instructions.
• Ability to Operate heavy machineries (Furnace/Cutting Machine) or any related machines.
• Attention to details and good learning attitude.
• Strong listening and comprehension skills.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English.
• Must be at least 18 years old and above.
• Will train the right candidate.

Work Environment and Physical Requirement

• Able to lift glass up to 75lbs.
• Can stand for long period of time and can work in a warehouse environment where they are expose to heat, humidity and cold.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and can multi task.
• Ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks.

Preferences- High School Diploma or GED

Experience Required- 1 year experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
