The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute is looking for a team-oriented and hard-working part-time Medical Assistant for our new Neurology Clinic located near the Nampa Medical Center campus!

***$900 Sign-On Bonus Offered to external applicants for this position! ***

About the Position:

As a part-time Medical Assistant, you will support a new provider in a new clinic location! You will room patients, conduct patient intakes, take vitals, perform skin biopsies, draw up and give injections, set up for procedures, perform prior authorizations, and other tasks as needed.

An ideal candidateis someone who has an interest in the neuroscience field, who is focused and experienced, enjoys working with an older patient population, and enjoys working independently and in a team environment.

Work Schedule: This position will work 24 hours per week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, around the hours of 7:30am - 4:30pm.

About the Neurology Clinic:

As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease. The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of general neurosurgeons, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists physiatrists, neuro-opthalmologists and oncologists.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire

General Requirements:
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
  • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
