The Bown Crossing Health Plaza is hiring for an outgoing, efficient, and detail-oriented part-time Medical Assistantfor our Family Medicine clinic located in the Bown Crossing community in East Boise!

***$900 on bonus offered to external candidates!***

Position Details:

As an MA in Family Medicine you will have the opportunity to use a variety of your MA skills and will see a variety of patients. This position will work primarily with a Family Medicine Physician and assist others as needed! In addition to patient intake and vitals, the MA will perform phlebotomy, immunizations, and also assist with procedures and injections.

An ideal candidate will have previous experience in family medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, internal medicine, or urgent care, have strong self-initiative and communication skills, enjoys developing efficiencies, being part of a supportive team, and willing to assist in all areas of the clinic.

Work Schedule: This position will work 24 hours per week, Mondays and Thursdays 9 - 10 hour shifts, around the hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays would be half days and may alternate based on providers' schedules, around the hours of 7:30pm - 1:00pm or so.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire

General Requirements:
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
  • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
