We are currently recruiting for a Local Representative - Gas & Electric to support the community in and around Monroe, WI. The area offers a friendly community and a great place to call home!

For this role, we are looking for a licensed journey Line Technician to work both independently and alongside crews as needed. Primarily working in an assigned outlying gas and electric area away from the district office. In this role you are responsible for promoting the interests of the company, upholding prestige, interpreting and applying policies, improving public relations, and maintaining company property.

In this position, you will take after-hours emergency and outage calls. Due to this on-call responsibility, you must reside within vicinity of customer base andwork area, at manager discretion.

Job Qualifications

• One year experience as a journey line technician.
• Reasonable knowledge of service work.
• Ability to plan and execute work with very little supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of company Safety Rules and Operating Practices and requirements of the State Electrical Code as it relates to line construction and maintenance and State codes relating to gas operations, construction and maintenance.
• Proven sense of responsibility to the company and the public.
• Some supervisory ability.
• Possession of a valid driver\u0027s license; ability to obtain a Commercial Driver\u0027s License prior to the end of trial period.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work group.

NOTE: This position is covered by the Department of Transportation regulations on drug/alcohol testing (CFR 49, Parts 40, 199 and 382), and is subject to drug/alcohol testing according to said regulations.
