JOB DESCRIPTION

AgCarolina Farm Credit is a hidden gem headquartered in Raleigh, NC with 11 additional locations servicing eastern North Carolina. We are a $1.6 billion agricultural lender and are just one of 71 independent Farm Credit institutions governed by the members we serve; our rural and farming members.

AgCarolina Farm Credit has an immediate opening for a Loan Officer to service our members in the Smithfield office.

A typical day for an AgCarolina Loan Officer consists of selling loans and related services to farmers and rural residents, analyzing and processing credit applications, farm visits and participating in other related public relation activities.

Our preferred and ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of agricultural lending experience. Knowledge of production agriculture within the Southeastern United States is preferred, but a strong desire and willingness to learn can set the right candidate up for success.
