General Job description:

• Perform various functions in support of SPC department operations. Including loading, unloading trailers, bin movements, trash removal, retrieving print and wear rolls for production.
  

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment.
  
• Replace/refuel gas tank if needed before shift end.
  
• Lifting 40+ pounds numerous times during the work shift.
  
• Keep designated SPC lines stocked with all material needs.
  
• Monitor all scrap bins for removal and replenish.
  
• Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations or trailers.
  
• Maintain good housekeeping in SPC department.
  
• Any other tasks assigned by management/leadership.
  
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused on safety while performing job duties.
  

• Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
  
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  
• Ability to lift 80 pounds.
  
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
  
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner as trained.
  
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
  

Essential Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
  
• Must be 18 years old.
  
• Other functions that may be assigned
  
• Pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.
  
• Must Pass Eye Exam
  
• Dependable with good attendance record.
  
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
  
• Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred.
  
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
