Ultimate Staffing is searching for a Legal assistant that will be able to support two attorneys in downtown Hartford CT. This is a new opening where someone can really contribute that has a keen attention to detail and is very organized. If this sounds like you please apply immediately. The position has free parking and is Monday- Friday 9am to 5pm with an amazing team that works together to achieve client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the file opening process for the team
  • Being the first point of contact for any administrative and business support requirements for fee earners, anticipating the teams needs where possible
  • Assisting with the preparation of all financial transactions as required
  • Drafting and formatting of letters, documents, and forms
  • Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing and word-processing
  • Proactive diary management for allocated fee earners

Qualifications

  • Experienced Legal Assistant (1+ year in a similar role), able to commute to Hartford CT
  • Experience of working for partners and fee earners in a Commercial environment
  • Commercial Litigation/Collections
  • Knowledge of Connecticut's Civil Procedure
  • Time Entry and Legal Billing Experience (E-Filing)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
