Major Function

To support the Lean initiatives at the Windom facility of Toro, through Lean techniques, procedures, methodology and facilitation. Assist all plant employees on the application of the Lean tools to eliminate waste in the organization.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Leads CI projects and kaizen events and follows up on the results
  • Develops and implements material flow strategies to support PFEP initiatives
  • Develops and implements process improvements to support Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery goals.
  • Develops and facilitates lean training to cross-functional teams
  • Supports 5S initiatives using audit results, feedback and coaching
  • Continuous interaction with personnel in assembly, personnel, shipping, receiving, and paint departments as well as all functions within the department is essential.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Progressive work history in manufacturing environment demonstrating
  • Demonstrated experience with transforming business processes, with the ability to promote and sustain continuous improvement efforts/projects and culture through engaging, influencing, inspiring, and motivating others
  • Practical experience in project/ program management and lean implementation.
  • Aptitude and desire to gain understanding of situations, processes, and procedures in an effort to improve them
  • Strong management, communication, leadership skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical skills with the demonstrated ability to analyze multifaceted, complex situations, problems, and concepts
