Position Summary:

                                                      

The Leadership Development Manager is responsible for the management and support of Leadership Development programs, events, and initiatives. This includes responsibility for implementation, support of all aspects of the design and development of projects related to associate/leadership development.  This role will be responsible for driving the execution of the learning and development programs and initiatives within our corporate and retail locations.

 

Organizational Relationships:

Reports within the Human Resources function at the Corporate Office.  Provides curriculum development, training delivery and team facilitation to the entire organization with heavy emphasis on the store population.  Partners closely with Talent Development Sr. Director and Directors, to analyze organizational needs, influence action and develop training programs that meet the strategic needs of the Company.  

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Leadership Development Director on analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of the General Manager program, including in-class content, pre/post work, knowledge checks, on-the-job learning opportunities and self-study assignments that complement and enhance learning retention to achieve program goals
  • Provide performance coaching and candid feedback to program participants
  • Support and execute project plans to successfully develop and implement leadership development programs
  • Execute the accountability process in leadership programs for both participants and their direct supervisor to ensure learning is applied back on the job
  • Oversee all aspects of the administration, class prep, follow up and participant tracking for University programs
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Manage planning, organization and execution of all leadership development sponsored events, such as Welcome dinners and Graduation celebrations
  • Act as lead facilitator in all leadership programs
  • Support other HR initiatives and Learning & Development programs, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a Training or learning and development role.
  • Strong facilitation skills as well as the ability to coach, provide feedback and develop action plans
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with ability to drive results
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Strong PC skills, preferably in Microsoft Office, are essential (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
