Position Overview

The successful candidate will enjoy working with pre-schoolers, have a valid CA Teacher level Permit (minimum), DRDP experience, required immunizations, be able to pass criminal history, and other requirements for clearance mandated by the State of California. Must maintain an active exemption-free status with Community Care Licensing; CA Drivers License and automobile insurance. Ability to bend over, lift 40 lbs, sit on the floor and necessary, and stand three to four hours per day.

The Lead Teacher assumes responsibility for the general supervision, development, education and assessment of children. The Leadworks with the director and helps ensure the site is meeting licensing regulations, state/federal guidelines, and FSA policies/procedures. The Lead plans the educational curriculum and themed lesson plans with indoor/outdoor activities for development of preschool age children (ages 2 - 5 years). You will provide some of the first steps in a child's nurturing environment.

The position is temporary with possibility of future and/or permanent assignment at conclusion of assignment.
