In this important role, you're responsible for leading efforts to scale our future absorbent innovation technologies and commercial execution. You'll provide leadership in the areas of process design, process development and process optimization to support the discovery, development and commercialization of innovation, capability and capacity projects for our personal care absorbent technology.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership in the initiation, design, development and optimization of manufacturing and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives. Skills in developing a process learning plan is a plus.

  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and leadership in application of engineering principles and/or scientific analysis. Provide advice and counsel sought by others.

  • Carry out job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.

  • Provide leadership in security and documentation to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.

  • Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Skills in experimental design is a must.

  • Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within applicable corporate policies. Place emphasis on CFI and Internal Control.

  • Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know. Be informative without being obtrusive or vexatious. Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive.

  • Assist in the development of others in the area of incumbent's expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience.

  • Analyze and improve process capability to deliver a reduction in defects and variability. Identify, develop, and provide leadership to implement products, processes, materials, systems, and procedures to achieve business objectives.

In this role, you'll report to R & E Senior Manager.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
*Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or scientific discipline.

*5+ years of experience in engineering, operations or relevant experience.

*Demonstrated leadership in achieving results.

*Expert problem-solving ability and experience leading teams through problem solving activities required.

*Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time based on project work.

Preferred qualifications:

*Family Care and/or Personal Care processes and technologies experience.

*Experience working in translating pilot scale technologies and implementing them to commercial scale.

*Experience as a process lead on product development projects.

*Experience successfully using AutoCAD, SolidWorks and JMP.
