Our Technology Team is looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to help drive the future of the StandOut product, a cloud-based toolset designed to drive team leader effectiveness.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will work with teams of DevOps engineers, database administrators, along with application developers and quality engineers providing DevOps engineering services to drive and support infrastructure and operations.

 

Do the following activities make you feel STRONG?

  • Designing infrastructure solutions in Amazon AWS for a SAAS product
  • Automating the creation and updating of infrastructure through code
  • Building and managing production level monitoring leveraging dashboards, alarms, and logs
  • Creating and updating code for continuous integration and delivery from software version control repositories implemented through tools such as Jenkins
  • Leading efforts to ensure availability, performance, and scalability for infrastructure operations and management
  • Making recommendations regarding the technology and software architecture and design of a SAAS product
  • Owning the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results
  • Being self-directed, willing to take initiative, pragmatic and results-oriented

Is it YOU we're looking for?

  • Experience in Amazon AWS services in support of a SAAS product
  • Experience in automation tools (Jenkins preferred)
  • Experience in Dockker or equivalent (Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, Cloud Formation)
  • Strong understanding of the CI/CD (DevOps) pipelines and the SDLC
  • Hands-on experience with programing and scripting languages: Shell, Python, Ruby, Java, C#
  • Expertise in RDBMS 
  • Expertise in network architecture, storage systems, virtualization technologies, and serverless frameworks
  • Have a data driven mindset driving a metrics approach to a given task

 

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Business Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 7 + years of experience in a technical role
  • 3-5 + years of experience in Amazon AWS

  • Experience writing SQL queries a plus
  • Amazon AWS Cloud certification is a plus
