The Lead Analyst Visualization role is responsible for designing, modeling, and supporting transformative enterprise data models and dashboards. As the data visualization expert, you will collaborate with other technical partners and business leaders to convert big data into visually appealing insights. You will utilize agile methodology and transformative products/platforms to achieve organization goals.

Responsibilities

The Lead Analyst of Data Visualization candidate must be passionate about digging into data and have a knack for Data Visualization, Dashboarding & Storytelling understanding the stories the data can tell. You will analyze complex data sets and transform the data into knowledge through appealing and understandable visualizations that improve business performance. You will partner with the global BI team to understand the needs of global business leaders and analysts then leverage a variety of tools to facilitate global data insight delivery.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leverage creativity and resourcefulness to design and build easy-to-consume dashboards from large, complex data sets. Dashboards will provide meaningful insights that our business can use to make decisions
  • Collaborate with key leaders on visualization requirements and engage in design and build discussions
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance methodologies to deliver highly accurate and reliable dashboards
  • Thoughtfully communicate findings and complex analytical solutions
  • Incorporate on-going feedback from stakeholders into existing dashboards and analyses
  • Leverage design principles to deliver consistent experience across all deliverables
  • Activate a visualization learning and development community across the global BI function to advocate standard methodologies, build skills, and inspire development and analytics cultural change
  • Develops the analytical skills of the team, and enable them to generate actionable insights that drive business results
  • Implements BI, reporting and analytical cross-functional solutions to optimize critical decision making
  • Analyzes and monitors trends in technology, assists in the identification and impact of emerging technologies
  • Develops business cases that credibly communicate analytical results across the organization
  • Provides technical and business leadership to improve the performance of multiple business processes and increase profitability
  • Works with other technical teams as well as with internal and external users to develop technical designs and solutions
  • Troubleshoots BI tools, systems, and software as well as performance tune visualizations
  • Ensures adherence to applications security procedures, change control guidelines and Sarbanes Oxley requirements

Qualifications
  • BS/MS in applicable field (Computer Science, Analytics)
  • Minimum 7 years of business intelligence development, with minimum 5 years in data visualization skills
  • Microsoft BI Experience in Microsoft tools: SQLServer, Azure Synapse, & Tabular Models preferred
  • Visualization Tools: Strong Power BI and DAX experience preferred as Power BI is HBI's visualization software of choice
  • Experience applying user experience design principles to dashboards and visualizations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including telephone and in-person presentations?
  • Ability to manage projects and competing priorities
  • Thoughtful problem-solving acumen
  • Strong learning agility to understand key business drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to tell stories and make dashboards actionable
  • Ability to adapt and pick up new technologies
  • Business oriented thinking vs focusing solely on technology
  • Consulting background is a plus
