Landscape Architect / Project Manager

What We're Looking For: 

Barge Design Solutions iscurrently seeking a Project Manager for landscape architecture projects in theSite Solutions business unit in our Atlanta, GA location.  This person will have a minimum of 12 yearsof experience within a Landscape Architecture focused practice and will belooking for challenges that include contributing to  a creative and thoughtful design process fromconcept to build, and  an innovative designculture, client relations and development, personnel development and anopportunity for staff mentoring.

Responsibilities include:

•  Business development and project management including developing scope of work proposals, providing project design, negotiating contracts, and attending meetings during all phases of the project.
• This individual will be responsible for collaboration with a team of landscape architects and coordination with other disciplines from both within and outside of our firm on project design on a wide range of landscape architecture centric projects.
• Develops contracts including subcontracts to comply with Barge terms. 
• Prepares comprehensive Project Management Plans and tracks project budgets, contracts, billing, and schedules.
• Ensures internal Quality Program implementation and execution. 
• Reviews project reports and findings. Makes modifications to project as needed. 
• Provides technical guidance, and resolves project problems, challenges, and obstacles. 
• Acts as primary agent between client and project team developing the project scope and proposals, coordinating events, leading client meetings & internal project meetings, and delivery of final project to client. 
• On occasion may function as a technical lead on projects. 
• Meets profitability goals in support of Barge's business and strategic plan.
• Mentors others and builds employee capabilities.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others. 
• Sets and example of our core values in daily actions and promotes a positive workplace culture.
• Performs other duties as requested. 

 Education & Experience Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
• Minimum of 12 years' experience within a Landscape Architecture focused practice as a Project Manager
• Professional registration within current state of residency and ability for reciprocity in new resident state within six months of hire.
• Strong design and technical credibility
• Strong teambuilding and collaboration skills
• Excellent oral, written and graphical communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and deadlines
