First Shift (United States of America)
Performs routine manual procedures in connection with the work of the Nicotine and Tobacco Product Assessment Core laboratories (www.nicotar.org); assists in sample processing and solution preparation; maintains order in laboratory rooms; cleans glassware; assists in caring for laboratory equipment and apparatus; aids in minor secretarial functions.
Assists in sample preparation and laboratory stock solution preparation. Performs laboratory maintenance. Inspects, cleans, collects, labels, and delivers glassware to individual laboratories. Runs errands for laboratory personnel. Monitors and maintains supply inventory. Washes selected glassware by hand.
Interfaces with investigators regarding special requests. Performs a variety of routine manual duties in the cleaning of laboratory areas. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and compliance standards. Enhances professional growth and development by participating in educational programs, reading current literature, and participating in in-service meetings and workshops. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department; maintains, distributes, analyzes, and projects information for required records and reports as directed.
Attends meetings as required. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Starting salary for this position is $27,936 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have experiences with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
