The Department of Pharmacology, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track, 12-month assistant professor position that is 100% funded by the Institution. Applicants must have a PhD, DO, MD, DO/PhD, or MD/PhD degree, and at least two years of postdoctoral training with evidence of significant productivity. Training in pharmacology is preferred, but other fields will be considered. The successful candidate will lecture to medical, dental, and biomedical science students, maintain a productive, independent research program, and actively seek external research funding. Salary will be based on experience, and the institution will provide research startup funds. Major Job Duties

  • Participate in the teaching mission of the department
  • Perform independent, externally funded basic science research or other scholarly activity
  • Contribute to the academic mission of the University through professional service at the school level, University level, and in professional organizations at the local, regional, national, and/or international level

Skills and Requirements
  • A PhD, DO, MD, DO/PhD, or MD/PhD degree
  • At least two years of postdoctoral training with evidence of significant productivity
  • Training in pharmacology is preferred, but other fields will be considered
