Description

The IT Program Lead oversees various system products, projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. The IT Program Lead works on highly visible problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

Humana is seeking an IT Program Lead that:

  • Assembles and leads product and project teams, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops plans to ensure timely achievement of desired business outcomes.
  • Manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks.
  • Will be familiar with the product and/or system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
  • When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, and sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value.
  • Will possess specialized knowledge of Agile Ways of Working, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects.
  • Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.
  • Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field
  • 8 or more years of technical experience including the execution of both Agile and Waterfall work
  • 2 or more years of program leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or management experience in a large corporate technical environment, with oversight across diverse technical platforms including Cloud, Web, Mainframe and Client Server
  • Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design and practical implementation of IT solutions
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Cloud, Oracle and IBM Relational Database Management Systems, executive information systems and statistical software packages
  • Comprehensive knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities
  • Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification
  • Experience in the health solutions industry
