JOB SUMMARY:

A Technical Support Specialist (TSS) Manager evaluates, improves, and maintains the plant’s needs as they relate to information support systems.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Actively participate on assigned teams and projects
* Establish goals for individuals and perform periodic performance reviews
* Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
* Participate in identifying hiring needs, employee selection, and the training process
* Communicate departmental expectations, motivate team members, and identify opportunities for improvements, ensuring policies are followed and providing guidance along with discipline
* Provide team leadership consistent with company vision, mission and CITE principles
* Plan and coordinate department’s activities to maximum performance to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
* Install and maintain software, computer hardware, and expand existing PC-based systems
* Determine basic hardware and software needs in conjunction with end users
* Train users, new and existing, in hardware and software applications
* Maintain computer hardware, phone systems, and printers
* Support scanner and RFID issues
* Perform IT audits and research system problems
* Submit TSS Solution Center tickets to resolve system and hardware issues
* Clean PCs, run and terminated cables on plant floor
* Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping for yourself and your team
* Display, encourage, and maintain a professional work environment through the timely completion of projects, respectful communication, team player attitude, integrity, accountability, excellence
* Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills/Experience:


* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related degree, required
* 3-5 years in system development or technical systems support role
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Track record of successful project management
* Self-motivated, independent thinker and energetic with customer service skills
* Strong planning, organization, time management and problem-solving skills

Required Physical Ability:


* Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
* Ability to climb and perform various duties from a latter at various heights



WORKING CONDITIONS:


* Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures.
* Protective safety gear may be required including safety glasses, gloves, and other.
* The noise level is usually moderate to high.
