IT Infrastructure Support Intern Position Summary:
Cretex's IT Infrastructure intern will get hands-on experience with installing, implementing, and supporting systems and network infrastructure, enabling a leading-edge medical device contract manufacturer. The engineer has a passion for technology, a desire to learn, and a desire to work side by side with a technical team of support engineers. The primary focus is to provide consistent technical product support to end-users and troubleshoot software application and hardware issues quickly and effectively.
Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Support Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to business users promptly and professionally, accurately documenting issues and resolutions, and collaborating with both customers and IT employees to solve complex technical issues
- Support and troubleshoot workstations, servers, and network-related issues
- Install, setup, and main workstations, including hardware components, base operating systems, networking, and software environments
- Perform systems administration for Office 365, Windows Servers, and workstations across multiple sites
- Implementations or upgrades with leading software vendors
- Provide phone and email technical support for end-users to resolve any hardware or software issues
- Create and update technical documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Make recommendations on areas of improvement
- Participate in the Operational Excellence / Value Improvement Program and make recommendations on areas of improvement
- Complete all other work duties as assigned
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
QualificationsIT Infrastructure Support Intern Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled pursuing your bachelor's degree or program in an Information Technical, Business, or Technical field
- Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and software problems
- A natural curiosity in understanding the application of technology to solve business problems
- Ability to learn quickly and high attention to detail
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Excellent communication skills and enjoy working cross-functionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- BONUS: Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Powershell, VB script
