Summary of Duties:

Works under direct supervision to assist with the implementation, configuration, administration, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, user training and data maintenance and integrity of the C-store Management System and associated records in the Micros Point of Sale (POS) System. Install and support the desktop clients for all Dining Services specific applications. Test, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain all Dining Services specific hardware devices including, but not limited to cash registers, bar code readers, scales, receipt printers and handheld devices as directed. Assist with the use of the CougarCard System and its peripheral devices in Dining Services operations. Assist with the implementation, configuration, administration, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, user training and use of all software applications used by Dining Services including, but not limited to the food service management, convenience store management, nutritional information, handheld inventory management, time and attendance, web and mobile ordering and Point of Sale systems.


Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related technology field AND 1 year of professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

  • Experience supporting a variety of hardware devices in an enterprise network environment.

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.

  • Experience supporting a variety of desktop applications including, but not limited to spreadsheets, word processing and database applications e.g., the Microsoft Office desktop suite.

  • Experience in food service operations.

  • Experience with Point of Sale systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a university food service operation.

  • Experience in convenience store, or grocery store operations.

  • Experience in the use and/or support of Point of Sale systems.

  • Experience managing sell prices in Point of Sale systems.

  • Experience supporting Point of Sale systems.

  • Experience in the use and/or administration of computerized food service management systems.

  • Experience in the administration of computerized food service management systems.

  • Experience in the use and/or administration of computerized convenience store, or grocery store management systems.

  • Experience in the administration of computerized convenience store, or grocery store management systems.
