About This Job

The intern will learn about the Commerce Commercial Payment products and the Account Management process for supporting and retaining clients. They will meet with representatives from each of the products and roles within the department. They will work with internal and external customer through ongoing meetings and communications. They will assist in work to help provide information and data to increase the value of the offers that Commerce provides.

As part of the role, the intern will obtain an understanding of the different types of products sold within Commercial Payments. They will learn about the processes for meeting with and updating clients about the current state of their portfolio and how Commerce can continue to provide support to them. The intern will be assigned specific projects that are focused on helping improve the operations of the AR and AP Account Management teams. Most projects will focus on improving the processes of the teams and supporting bringing the account management from different products together. Projects can include but are not limited to, data analysis, creating new procedures or process guides.

Essential Functions

  • Support a set of clients to determine where Commerce can be more proactive in driving value for the client. This can include client surveillance, data analysis and obtaining key information from clients to drive improvements
  • Process reviews and documentation around how a process flows or the use of Salesforce in activities for capturing client interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Hours
  • Summer Internship, 40 hours per week.
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

  • Strong problem- solving and analytical reasoning skills
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate to advance levelproficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Working towards a degree with a major in Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration
