JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applications Engineers assist Vertiv sales representatives with product selection and understanding sales applications, and support customers with system configurations, upgrades, and system troubleshooting. Product focus areas include uninterruptible power systems & power distribution units and thermal management systems for small data centers, network equipment rooms, and distributed / edge IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Additional responsibilities include:
  • Preliminary evaluation of quote requests and sizing requirements for standard and build-to-order power and cooling solutions
  • Assist with support logging and service metric analysis
  • Develop and sustain support collateral and technical documentation
  • Assist with remote test simulations of customer applications and configurations
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of electric circuits, and AC power distribution systems
• Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering field of study preferred
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Familiarity with energy storage systems, including VRLA, Li-ion, and wet battery cells preferred
• Familiarity with HVAC theory and application preferred but not required

Desired Software Skills Requirements

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and MS Teams
